Bing Ads announced the release of Shared Budgets. According to a post on their blog, ‘’if you have a budget of $20 to be used uniformly between two campaigns every day. On a given day, Campaign A spends only $8 (of its $10 budget) because it got fewer impressions and clicks than usual. Using Shared Budget, if Campaign B is performing well, Bing Ads will automatically allocate the unutilised $2 to Campaign B.’’
Shared Budgets is available in all Bing Ads applications, including the WEB UI, API, Editor (read-only) and mobile apps (read-only).
The benefits of Shared Budgets include:
Have a single budget that can be used by all campaigns under an account
Optimise your unutilised budget by having Bing Ads automatically allocate any remaining budget to campaigns that are performing well.

It shouldn’t come as a shock: most people are searching on Google using a mobile device.
Google has taken this into account and now plans to shift to looking primarily at mobile content, rather than desktop, when deciding how to rank results.
Google wrote:
‘’To make our results more useful, we’ve begun experimenting to make our index mobile-first. Although our search index will continue to be a single index of websites and apps, our algorithms will eventually primarily use the mobile versions of a site’s content to rank pages from that site, to understand structured data, and to show snippets from those pages in our results. Of course, while our index will be built from mobile documents, we’re going to continue to build a great search experience for all users, whether they come from mobile or desktop devices. ‘’
Here’s some recommendations Google is giving webmasters to prepare for the change:
We’ll keep you updated with the need to know when we start seeing the changes to the Google results and index.
With this latest update, if you search for movies or TV shows, there will be thumbs up and thumbs down icons in the knowledge panel to like or dislike the movie or TV show.
Example:
After concerns over the spread of misinformation online in the weeks and months before the US Presidential Election Day, Google have announced plans to restrict sites that publish fake news from using online advertising.

Google announced that Google Maps will now tell you how busy or slow a specific venue is in real time.
Google said it’s ‘’adding a real-time look at how crowded a place is right now, to help you decide where and when to go. Whether you’re rushing to pick up a last minute gift or seeking a lively bar for some festive spirit, check Popular Times for a sneak preview of what to expect when you arrive.’’
Ads for local service providers such as locksmiths, plumbers, and handymen are finally showing on mobile.
The mobile ad format features a swipeable carousel of listings that feature a map of the service area where the advertiser operates. This feature is also being tested on desktop.
In August, Instagram introduced Instagram Stories. They’re taking that a step further with live on Instagram Stories.
According to a post on their blog ‘’live video on Instagram Stories helps you connect with your friends and followers right now. When you’re done, your live story disappears from the app so you can feel more comfortable sharing anything, anytime.’’
To go live, simply swipe right from feed to open the camera, click the ‘’Start Live Video’’ button and start sharing for up to an hour.
Facebook announced that fake news site are banned from using the company’s advertising network to generate revenue. These sites fall into the category of illegal, misleading or deceptive content.
